You know, every story needs a little refresh some time. Does it really have to be that old way?Well, since we had this irish-catholic-magic-shot-Democrat (wasn´t he a.. ,well, never mind), yes, we had Kennedy, the Original and the colonies, since the days of last good Cäsar, there was this effective downplay of civilisation, which entertained the Western World for over four decades.
Entertained – until now.
This time it´s gonna be too much. Noone believes, the Washington Globetrotters really deserve the victory. Well, since you lost 8 years between Golf War I and II, it´s understandable that you wanna get rid of elections anyway.
That´s why you invented (instead of controlling the voters) the voting machines (1).
But, you know, even the Harlem Globetrotters always had something every game definitely need for real entertainment: an opponent.
Dear GOP: can´t you get yourself one? Please?
You know, every time I (myself, the author, an artist) have to see this old skulls & bones-Buddy John (the Kerry) on television, every time I just have to watch this grey and deadly face desperately trying to do his job, I always get remembered why i dislike bad actors:
there can be good losers in the game.
Even, if you´re just middle-class.
Sure they hide Pelosi – you don´t need a „Halliburton“-sayer on the playground.
Sure Carter wooed Dean out of Iowa at the 19th of January 2004 during the first votes cast in primary season (2). The Good on technical support (the affair about that unidirectional microphone, you know) did the rest.
That was, well, professional. But time by time you used up your potential of dirty old treators.
Everybody needs a little faith, even in the biggest lies. Just a little..
So, if they shut off at al-Qeada, they won´t switch on for Lieberman. You experienced that.
Yes, you will give them the House. Of course, you will keep the senat, just because of that hanging double down in Bagdad.
Sure, you will have that „last-moment-victory“ you want the American People believe in they could have in Bagdad, too. All together now, mission endless, entertainment also.
But, there´s one thing you lost in the game, just a little thing in that end-of-history-story:
the role.
No Opponent, no Democrats, no Bad, no Good, no hero, no reason, no game, no watchers, no commercials, no benefit, no hypnosis, no war, no empire.
Try to overtrump that story.
It´s fun. It´s nice. It´s old. It´s republican. It´s German. It´s European. It´s victorius.
PS: just look at the bright side – can keep the brits.
You gotta be more creative, it´s about time.
