Washington: Narrowly she made it. Hillary Rodham Clinton was about to lose the Presidential election in 2008, but she decided to win – as she promised.
Of course, she confused war supporters by leaving them alone. Still, there are 19 so-called Democrats (1), who are in fact lobbyists of war. But there is absolutely no logic in giving even more money to this President for a war he started with lies and wouldn´t end without dreadful defeat. The only way to prevent this militarily is to force him, to FORCE him to get the American Forces out of there and to bring them home safely.
If Hillary Clinton wouldn´t supported that bill yesterday while Barack Obama would, race would have been over, and she knew that.
Especially in the face of the West Coast votes, Barbara Boxer and Dianne Feinstein, who also supported the safe return of U.S. troops in March 2008.
THE LOOSER – UNTIL THE END…
„Today the Senate took another step toward acknowledging the will of the American people, who want to end this misguided mission in Iraq. A majority of Senate Democrats are on the record clearly stating that the President`s Iraq policy is a failure and that we need to take real action to change course“, Senator Russ Feingold announced yesterday.
„Keeping 150,000 American troops in the middle of an Iraqi civil war both hurts our national security and impedes the ability to reach a political solution in Iraq. We must continue to ratchet up the pressure on the President and supporters of this irresponsible war to safely redeploy our troops from Iraq so we can refocus on those who attacked us on 9/11.“(2)
The American people don´t even got a clue how thankful they should be for that brave man.
In a time, where Washington floors were full of cowards, hypocrites and false compromises, one man stood your ground, while all others in the U.S. Senate fled.
If it´s about freedom, democracy, and the American Values, there is only one, above all others, who won this War on Freedom for America – Russ Feingold.
