Obama: A Changeling You Can Believe in?

USA, Wisconsin: Just imagine you were in the Golden Globe jury and you should judge an actor during a writers strike. Not talking about a movie produced in a time of one.

What´s the core of politics? What´s the sense of it? Entertainment? Something that makes you feel better? At least for a moment, a speech? 4 more minutes?

If Barack Obama speechwriters now fire back about charges of plagiarism prompted by the Hillary Clinton campaign, saying that the words Obama used in a weekend speech which resembled remarks made by Deval Patrick during his successful Massachusetts gubernatorial campaign in 2006 were „offered by Patrick, a friend and political ally, to Obama‘s speechwriters“ (1), it is still uncertain who´s behind the curtain of this white-collar messiah who wants to get into the White House.

WAR OF THE WORDS

Today the „Washington Post“ cites (2):
The Democratic candidates are impolite enough to point out that the losses suffered by al-Qaeda in Iraq, which Bush and McCain love to cite, are really the vanquishing of a foe that could never have existed without the U.S. invasion.

Closer than you think.

I already mentioned that al-Masri, who is the head of al Qaeda in Iraq, is an Egyptian. But the four top officers who respond to al-Masri are, themselves, not Iraqis, they‘re an Egyptian, an Saudi, a Yemeni, and a Tunisian. Al-Mashadani and his masters understood that Iraqis wanted some sense that al Qaeda in Iraq had indigenous leadership, so what they did is they created a fictional head of al Qaeda in Iraq, Abu Omar al-Baghdadi. They even hired an actor to provide voice-overs for al-Baghdadi‘s statements that were posted on the Internet.

That´s not the „Post“. These are words of White House Speaker Tony Snow, July 18 in 2007 (3).
He was referring to a group that claimed responsibility of numerous terror attacks in Iraq, Kurdistan, the abduction of three American soldiers and even of a threat to Iran a few days before.
He was referring to a man that never existed: the leader of a so-called „Islamic State in Iraq“. (6)

Fox News, July 9, 2007, (4):
The leader of an Al Qaeda umbrella group in Iraq threatened to wage war against Iran unless it stops supporting Shiites in Iraq within two months, according to an audiotape.
Abu Omar al-Baghdadi, who leads the group Islamic State in Iraq , said his Sunni fighters have been preparing for four years to wage a battle against Shiite-dominated Iran. Al-Baghdadi said his group was responsible for two suicide truck bomb attacks in May in Iraq‘s northern Kurdish region. He said the attacks in Irbil and Makhmur showed the „Islamic jihad,“ or holy war, was progressing in the Kurdish areas.

The „New York Times“ (5). Read it:
BAGHDAD, May 13 — About 4,000 American ground troops supported by surveillance aircraft, attack helicopters and spy satellites swept towns and farmland south of Baghdad on Sunday, searching for three American soldiers who disappeared on Saturday after their patrol was ambushed, military officials said. The Islamic State of Iraq, an umbrella insurgent group that includes Al Qaeda in Mesopotamia, asserted that it had captured the three missing Americans and claimed responsibility for the attack, which killed four other American soldiers and an Iraqi Army soldier.

No matter who you are, no matter what candidate or political direction you might hang on – now you know, YOU KNOW that there was something completely wrong with real bloodshed, real terrorism, real threats to millions of people in another country, real war and real media cover ups. And what happens ONCE, can happen TWICE.

The „International Herald Tribune“ on July 18, 2007. It´s the day of the White House press conference when Tony Snow admitted the American Public had been dooped:
Al Qaeda in Mesopotamia, for its part, has engaged in its own form of psychological warfare…
The recent American operation to clear western Baquba, the provincial capital of Diyala, of Qaeda fighters was dubbed Arrowhead Ripper. In a statement, the Islamic State of Iraq claimed that „the arrows have been returned to the enemy like boomerangs,“ according to Site Institute, which monitors international terrorist groups.
While the American military says that senior Qaeda leaders in Pakistan provide guidance, general direction and support for Al Qaeda in Mesopotamia, they did not provide any examples of a specific raid or operation that was ordered by Pakistan-based leaders of Al Qaeda.

PAKISTAN? YES, YOU CAN

Watch this:

Now read this (8):
Britain planned to build a Taliban training camp for 2,000 fighters in southern Afghanistan, as part of a top-secret deal to make them swap sides, intelligence sources in Kabul have revealed. The plans were discovered on a memory stick seized by Afghan secret police in December.
A ministry insider said: „When they were arrested, the British said the Ministry of the Interior and the National Security Council knew about it, but no one knew anything. That‘s why the President was so angry.“

Details of how much President Karzai was told remain murky. Some analysts believe Afghan officials were briefed about the plan, but that it later evolved.
But the Afghans feared the British were training a militia with no loyalty to the central government. Intercepted Taliban communications suggested they thought the British were trying to help them, the Afghan official said.

The Western delegates, Michael Semple and Mervyn Patterson, were given 48 hours to leave the country. Their Afghan colleagues, including a former army general, were jailed. The expulsions coincided with a row within the Taliban‘s ranks which saw a senior commander, Mansoor Dadullah, sacked for talking to British spies. One official claimed the camp was planned for Mansoor and his men.
UK diplomats, the UN, Western officials and senior Afghan officials have all confirmed the outline of the plan, which they agree is entirely British-led, but all refused to talk about it on the record.
The memory stick revealed that $125,000 (£64,000) had been spent on preparing the camp and a further $200,000 was earmarked to run it in 2008, an Afghan official said. The figures sparked allegations that British agents were paying the Taliban.
Mr Patterson, a Briton, was the third-ranking UN diplomat when he was held. Mr Semple, an Irishman, was the acting head of the EU mission.

And now, one of the most tragic and sad decisions of these decisive days – superdelegate Rep. John Lewis on why he is now supporting Barack Obama:
„In recent days,“ Lewis told The New York Times on Friday, „there is a sense of movement and a sense of spirit. Something is happening to America and people are prepared and ready to make that great leap.“ (9)

NEW WAR IN PAKISTAN: AMERICAS GREAT LEAP FORWARD?

Washington Post, January 28, in „Don‘t Open a Third Front in Pakistan“ (10):
„U.S. intelligence and national security officials now readily admit that al Qaeda is back, and that it together with a growing fundamental Taliban movement is flourishing in parts of Pakistan and neighboring Afghanistan.
If conventional wisdom takes hold that the Pakistan resurgence is purely the product of an ill-conceived Iraq war, we will not only set ourselves on a faulty course for fighting in the future, but we will fail to understand the actual mistakes we have made in Iraq and Afghanistan, mistakes we could now repeat in Pakistan.“

One more time it´s a question of believe. If you believe in your personal intelligence you might sometimes doubt an institutional. If you believe in someone who didn´t decide about the Iraq War in 2002 but opposed it, well, can´t help it.

A CHANGELING YOU CAN BELIEVE IN?

The strategist running Obama’s campaign, David Axelrod, about a speech of Obama in December:
„I’d say 80 percent of what he did on that platform on Saturday was in that initial draft”. A draft that Obama allegedly had e-mailed to Axelrod at about 4 o´clock in the morning.
Political strategist Donna Brazile: All those „Let us“ sentences in the middle, as in, „Let us be the generation . . . “ — „That‘s Axelrod“.
David Wilhelm, former chairman of the Democratic National Committee: The clever rhetorical judo of Obama‘s oft-quoted line, „I know that I haven‘t spent a lot of time learning the ways of Washington. But I‘ve been there long enough to know that the ways of Washington must change!“ — „That seemed very classic Axelrod“. (11)

One of Obamas foreign policy advisers is Zbigniew Brzezinski. Must be a great deal organizing a third war in Pakistan almost 30 years after building up the mujaheddin, warlords and the militias in Afghanistan America know since September the 11th.

Brzezinski had already taken part of Bilderberger meetings in the early 60s before he became advisor to President John F.Kennedy. Maybe he wasn´t one of the best, but he tried a retrieval at Lyndon Johnson‘s presidential campaign in 1964.

During the Vietnam War, from 1966 to 1968, Brzezinski served as a member of the Policy Planning Council of the U.S. Department of State (President Johnson‘s 7 October 1966 „Bridge Building“ speech was a product of Brzezinski‘s influence).
Brzezinski then co-founded the Trilateral Commission with David Rockefeller, serving as director from 1973 to 1976. (12)

Is this Americas „Great Leap“ Rep. John Lewis spoke about?
Where will this end, when it has begun?

Still – there is a choice.
But not even God could take that burden from you, Wisconsin.
