Some so-called „patriots“ or „laicists“ have plotted against the Republic of Turkey in „Ergenekon“. Two days after their indictment is accepted two bombs explode in Instanbul. Today 11 people died in oil-rich Kirkuk. And next month Irans President Ahmadinejad is going to visit Turkey to discuss the Nabucco Pipeline.
Istanbul: It is amazing how fast some people blamed the goal-oriented murdering of dozens of people in Turkeys capital yesterday on an organization that had no rational interest in such a massacre. As the shattered corpses of their fellow citizens laid next to them in the mud, some immediately yelled „it´s the fault of the PKK“.
In fact, it is well known that high ranking military officers, businessmen, academics, journalists and right-wing groups already used the flag „PKK attack“ for their own purposes: hate, confusion, pogroms, neighbours killing neighbours, deportation and oppression of minorities and intellectuals, armed gang fights on the street, finally military coup, subversion and the displacement of the elected Erdogan government.
ATTACK IN ISTANBUL
„We know it is a terrorist attack, but which organisation is responsible – we don‘t yet have that information,“ deputy prime minister Hayati Yazici said yesterday. Interestingly only the British „Guardian“ reported that Istanbul‘s governor Muammer Guler stated that „CCTV cameras had filmed the devices being planted.“
News agency „Reuters“ and most of information media worldwide used the same, strange term that police were now „investigating the security cameras in the area“.
One could wonder why a group of plotters would plant two bombs in a highly secured area in Instanbul. One should definitely wonder about their purpose.
„ERGENEKON“ INDICTMENT ACCEPTED
An Istanbul court on Friday agreed to hear the case of the „Ergenekon“ conspiracy. Istanbul’s 13th High Criminal Court announced the first hearing date as October 20. The hearings will be held at Silivri Prison.
It is believed by the Turkish authorities that the plotters planned a whole number of murders.
The indictment says the defendants planned to assassinate Nobel prize winning author Orhan Pamuk, columnist Fehmi Koru, Diyarbak?r Mayor Osman Baydemir, and members of the Democratic Society Party (DTP), deputies Ahmet Türk, Sabahat Tuncel.
It has to be considered by the public as well that according to investigations a shady group with „Ergenekon“ network connections called Union of Patriotic Forces (VKGB) in Diyarbakir actually staged an attack on itself and then blamed in on the PKK.
Veli Kücük, founder of the gendarmerie „intelligence“ JITEM that operated undercover, nationalist lawyer Kemal Kerincsiz, retired army colonel Fikret Karadag, the prominent underworld leader Ali Yasak, Sevgi Erenerol, press spokesperson for a group called „The Turkish Orthodox Patriarchate“, those persons were arrested in January already and even at that point of time it had been confirmed that some of the schemers, in an apparent contradiction to their self-given label as „patriots“ and „laicists“, had been members of underground groups like Hizbullah (no connection to the Lebanese party).
The indictment says Ergenekon were not only „within the process of infiltrating“ the General Staff of Turkish military, and the secret service MIT, but also the PKK.
Today´s Zaman:
„One witness, codenamed „Deniz,“ provided information about meetings between Ergenekon and intelligence officers of from other countries and explained that the now-jailed founder of the PKK, Abdullah Öcalan, left Turkey before the 1980 coup because he had been informed about it beforehand.
Deniz said journalist Yalcin Kücük, also a suspected member of Ergenekon, went to Damascus to meet with Öcalan in 1993 and 1996. He explained that the Kücük guided Öcalan in his armed activities. Stressing that Kücük was like Öcalan‘s brain, the witness said in 1996 it was Kücük who saved Öcalan from an assassination in Damascus.
Deniz added that Hizbullah members were trained at the Gendarmerie Command. A reporter who took photographs of this training was later killed, the witness said.“
Dogu Perincek (R), a chief suspect in the Ergenekon case, can be seen on undated fotos shaking hands with PKK members during a visit to a PKK camp. Next to him: PKK-leader Öcalan.
Certainly a shock to some militant minded Kurds, too. Perincek is now accused with encouraging people to be part of an armed uprising.
PRIMARY TARGET: ATTACKS, CONFUSION, CHAOS, A REVOLUTION CALLED „LAICIST MILITARY COUP D´ETAT“
The indictment notes that Ergenekon doesn‘t aim at destroying certain terrorist organizations, but at taking them under control and using them for its own purposes.
Imaginary („nylon“) terrorist organizations were established to blame massacres on ethnic minorities and to create chaos, even within insurgents and guerillas.
For the same time Ergenekon plotters attacked as members of the „Kurdish, Sunni fundamentalist organization“ labelled Hizbollah „suspected PKK sympathizers“, and Turkish people as „Kurdish terrorist organisation PKK“.
The primary target, all those years, were „Keep going with the war, no matter who against who“. Progress, civil order, democracy, free elections and constitutional rights had to be averted, at all costs of others lifes. That´s what you call „patriotism“ if you´re a tiny, violent minority inside society: an elite.
There are economic reasons for all of this, too.
TURKEY ON THE BRINK OF STRATEGIC ECONOMIC POWER BY PEACEFUL MEANS
Iran and Turkey has signed a preliminary agreement on natural gas last year under which Turkey will develop three Iranian natural gas fields in the south.
Israels establishment was not amused, for it doggedly tries to convince each and everyone on the planet that the upper most beneficial method of importing oil is through their pipelines, even if it´s from the Caspian Sea to China.
Indeed, earlier this year Turkish Foreign Minister Ali Babacan offered India to facilitate the supply of oil from Central Asia to India via Israel (!) through a combination of overland pipelines and super tanker. Someone should have donated them a map.
But the Mediterranean Pipeline Project (Medstream) is about more. It would consist of five pipelines that would carry water, natural gas, oil, electricity and fibreoptics from Turkey‘s Mediterranean harbor Ceyhan to Israel. And it would fit to Russian plans to connect their Black Sea pipeline for delivering oil via the Samsun-Ceyhan crude oil pipeline directly into the Near East.
Unfortunately it is still unclear which coalition of the pay willing is going to finance this enterprise. National Infrastructures Minister Binyamin Ben Eliezer of Israel was cited as followed: he would try to „provide financial source for the project“ during his visits to Azerbaijan and Russia, after he paid a visit to Istanbul, allegedly in a pure Near East peace mission.
Meanwhile the US government pushes India not only to implement the US-developed nuclear deal but also to abandon the Iran-Pakistan-India (IPI) gas pipeline. The Singh-government rejected, for now.
Then there is another pipeline project that could be of interest to the Turkish people if they knew about. It´s the so-called „Nabucco“-pipeline, also crossing the eastern part of Turkey mainly inhabited by Turkish Kurds, as every other pipeline in that area.
THE NABUCCO PIPELINE
This EU-led project (graphic with competing Russian Southstream pipeline project) is planned to connect Europas energy supply lines with Iraqs (and Iraqi Kurdistans) pipeline network, but also with Irans natural gas fields this turkish-iranian preliminary agreement last year was about.
In fact, „Iran can be the key to the realization of the Nabucco gas pipeline project, which would go a long way in reducing Europe‘s energy dependence on Russia“, the „Asia Times“ reports today.
Also Irans desire to become a member to the Shanghai Pact SCO (of China, Russia and central asian states) has suffered a setback. Iran has to look out for friends in the region.
So what´s in the game here is an energy supply line from Europe, the Caspian Sea to India, maybe even China. And Turkey, and the Iran, at the very center of it.

Turkish premier minister Erdogan signed „crucial energy agreements“ during his recent visit in Irak, Bülent Kenes reported in „Todays Zaman“ on July 16, which would „strengthen the Kirkuk-Yumurtalik oil pipeline as well as the Nabucco project“. Also Turkey would be able to to resist French President Nicolas Sarkozy and his idea of a Mediterranean Union „and all the devastating anti-democratic attempts“, he wrote.
„Under its current status, this formation, made up of 45 Mediterranean littoral states, has ceased to be an obstacle in Turkey‘s EU-membership prospects or an alternative to this prospect. While Sarkozy‘s initial plan has literally backfired, Turkey has managed to eliminate the dangers that could be posed by this plan.“
Not to mention that a democratic and peaceful Republic of Turkey, mainly inhabited by muslims and at the border between Europa and Asia, would be a nightmare for US strategists who still try to inflame the situation in the so-called „Broader Middle East“. More than ever the situation could get out of Washingtons control because there seems to be a Turkish-Kurdish deal in the region already.
On July 14 „Turkish Daily News“ reported the following:
„Erdogan is closely interested in the rich natural gas resources of Iraq. He said these rich gas resources are situated in the `Kurdish region` and pointed out that by making use of these resources, linking them with the Nabucco pipeline transferring natural gas from Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan and even Iran to Europe, Iraq‘s connection with the West via Turkey will bring additional `strategic-economic power` to Turkey.“
Kirkuk is at the center of an old important oil producing area in the middle east. Pipelines connect it to the Mediterranean ports of Tripoli in Lebanon and Yumurtalik in Turkey.
It´s no coincidence that now, of all time, an explosion killed 11 people in Kirkuk today.
And though nothing is known about motive, perpetrators and reason for this attack all news agengies stick to the good old „suicide bomber without a cause or just ethnic-religious-extremism-madness anyway“.
Has there any other murderous explosion ever been reported from a war or occupation zone?
Never, if you ask the corporate media. Just imagine someone would just fire a rocket or grenade into a crowd, then rush to the telephone and then cry „suicide, suicide..“.
In earlier times he might got arrested. Today he´d be called „intelligence“ – or press.
SO-CALLED „TERRORIST ATTACKS“: A VERY REGULAR WAR BY OTHER MEANS
The ongoing bombing of alleged PKK camps in Iraqi Kurdistan by Turkish military actually got used as an umbrella for a military, a military attack also in the heart of Istanbul yesterday. A war zone is a war zone, no matter if you call explosions „terrorist acts“ instead of „engagement“. So who was this military aka militia that set off the bombs? Who was able to orchestrate this extensive operation, obviously in connection with the attack on Kurdish Iraqis in Kirkuk today?
Regarding this case one should also consider that Seymour Hersh reported in „Preparing The Battlefield“ the C.I.A. „and Special Operations communities“ suppported the „Party for a Free Life in Kurdistan“ (PJAK) who engaged Iran and Turkey through „terrorist attacks“. Those militias, those mercenaries were simply used as surrogat forces for false-flag fright (lat.:“terror“), black warfare, stay-behind groups and coup plotters like „Ergenekon“.
Iranians President Ahmadinejad is going to visit Turkey likely next month.
That is another piece of a puzzle forming a certain picture which leads to the conclusion that these bombings which shocked Istanbul yesterday and Kirkuk today are another example of international economic warfare politics, most disgustingly labelled „war on terror“, but prominently summarized in an old simple pattern first George Bush made famous in first Iraq War already:
BLOOD FOR OIL.
(…)
update: During the day Turkish government pledged people in Kirkuk should stay calm even in face of the killing commited today by unknown forces during a demonstration.
„We expect the people in Kirkuk to act commonsensibly towards these provocative actions which aim at damaging tranquility and stability not only in Kirkuk but also in Iraq and the whole region,“ the statement of Turkish foreign ministry said.
The PKK on her part denied involvement in yesterdays attack in Istanbul. Speaking to the pro-PKK Firat news agency, Zubeyir Aydar said: „The Kurdish liberation movement is not involved in this attack“.
Behind the explosions the PKK sees „sinister forces“ which had timed this assassinations to coincide with the AKP case and the Ergenekon trial.
